Important People In The Rezoning Process

University Park officials have been very clear in saying that the most important thing residents can do to affect the decision on proposed zoning changes is to make our voices heard. Officials have said that any concerned residents should attend relevant public meetings and contact Councilmembers and other relevant officials and committees.

Below, find names and contact information for those who play a role in the decision making process for the proposed Bush Library Planned Development.

Planning & Zoning Commission Members
The Planning & Zoning Commission will initially review the Bush Library Foundation's request for Planned Development and provide a recommendation to the City Council. This recommendation weighs very heavily, so it is important that the Planning & Zoning Commission hear from you so they are aware of the true feelings of the city residents. The city does not publish contact information for the Commission, but you can communicate with them by attending monthly P&Z Commission meetings. The Planning & Zoning Commission meets on the second Tuesday of each month. The names of the members of the Commission are below. If you know any of these members, we strongly suggest you contact them personally.

Bob West, Chair
Randy Biddle
Reed Shawver
Doug Roach
Bill Foose

Alternate Members
Jerry Jordan
Bea Humann
Kim Kohler

Also, if you cannot attend the Commission meetings, you can print a copy of the Notice of Public Hearing sent out by the city in late October, and enter your comments and send it back to the city.
